Repeat, a leading Restaurant Tech start-up, is the world’s first frequency-based loyalty app that provides rewards on every visit or order, ranging from restaurants and takeaways to bars and pool days, to the benefit of both the customer and for the longevity of our most popular spots.
Who we are?
Repeat began on the 1st January 2019, with 4 team members and 3 clients. Since then, the obvious need for a shake-up in the F&B industry and following a successful trial in Dubai, and positive delivery implementation within the app in 2020. The clear need for an accessible app that makes it easier for both restaurants and bars to successfully harness loyalty, and for customers to easily explore venues and foster their own loyalty to a brand has proved itself invaluable.
What we do?
Everyone has their favourite takeaways to order from for a relaxed night in, or the coffee shop they always go to on their way to work. Maybe there’s a favourite bar for a Saturday evening, or a preferred hotel for poolside chilling. Repeat’s mission is to reward those customers on every visit; it’s simple – the more you patronize a venue, the more rewards you earn. The repeat app provides the highest rewards on every visit or order, making it the perfect accompaniment to the dining experience, whether that’s returning to a favourite spot, or looking to explore something new.
The app is free to download and easy to use, and can be used as a restaurant guide, as well as a providing rewards for visits, perfect if you’re looking to try something new. The bars and restaurants are easily sorted to cater to your preferences, with the ability to search by restaurant name, cuisine, and dishes, or by general experience including ambience, outdoor dining, date nights, shisha, board games and more. The venues also all have contact details, location, amenities, menu, best sellers, and ambience all on one place on the app, making it easy to decide if that’s your go to spot. Once you’ve found your destination, it’s simple to redeem the welcome offer, simply select ‘welcome offer’, sending a request to the staff to accept – it will then be added to your total bill. The welcome offer allows you to explore new places, stress-free. The sooner you visit that same venue again, the better the offers will be. The buyback feature is there for your favourite restaurants in case you missed the validity period on the highest reward tier – with every transaction, you earn coins which can be used to buyback a locked offer (AED1 = 1 coin); these coins can unlock loyalty rewards.
Why we do it?
Within the Restaurant industry, heavy discounts are common, with the ladies’ day promos, or the 2 for 1 offers out there, there’s nearly always some sort of discount; however, many restaurants and bars are struggling under this intense discount culture. For locals and tourists alike, one of the many appeals of the city is the vast range of restaurants to enjoy, however the competitive discount culture makes survival for venues and brands difficult with the consistent need to drive footfall and compete for customers. The constant discounts erode a brand’s identity, drains revenues, and ultimately pushes up prices across the city to unsustainable highs. Repeat is the antidote to this problem, if you like somewhere, Repeat rewards you for that loyalty, dynamically ensuring the best price in a restaurant go to the best customers – rewarding better than average behaviour with better than average prices. This mission is ensuring higher footfall from regular customers, an increase in the average cheque size, and provides worthwhile information on what customers like and don’t like. This system therefore minimizes the impact of discounts on the financials and brand identity of the restaurants while maximizing the incentive for incremental revenue from its customers. The whole system works for both the customer and the brand.
From our beginnings in 2019 to today, Repeat’s success is a sign of the need for an Restaurant Tech start-up like ours. In 2022, we will reach 38M USD in processed sales for the restaurants with more than 775,000 redemptions on the app, this rapid progress has seen the team grow from 4 to 44 members, working from different countries. As voted for as one of the top 10 start-ups in F&B in 2020, Repeat has more than 1,000 restaurants to choose from for either dine-in or delivery, all indicative of the need for this app.
We are continuing to grow and develop, committed to rewarding customers for their loyalty and ensuring the Restaurant industry remains a thriving hub of culture and experience. We are especially excited to announce that we are in the process of launching the platform in Houston, US, and are constantly developing and evolving the app to offer new features to become a fully integrated search and discovery platform, offer them payment directly through the app, helping people save money while they shop.
